Free Icons
December 20th, 2005
I found this set of free icons via digg maybe last week or so. The site offers them free to use on your own website. Since I haven’t done much to this site as of late I decided to use some of the icons to spice things up a bit…or something. Anyway I just added them to the left column and used the icon for firefox as a link to the getfirefox webpage in the footer of every page. Nothing spactacular but something I’ve wanted to add and never did. Anyway, you can get the icons here.
New iPod, iMac, and iTunes 6
October 12th, 2005
Apple
Apple announced a new video iPod today as well as an all new iMac.
Now I’m not sure if I want the new iPod, or should I stick with my present plans to get a nano. It’s a tough choice. The nano would meet my current needs as I see them now, but I might be kicking myself later for not spending $50 for all that extra space you get with an iPod. Read the rest of this entry »

OS X x86
August 15th, 2005
As you may or may not of heard several hacks for OS X x86 have surfaced over the weekend. If you have a CPU that supports SSE3 or SSE2 then you’re in luck. Those with SSE3 support can run all OS X apps, even those compiled for the PPC processor. This is all thanks to Rosetta. Those with a processor that supports only SSE2, like the Pentium M chip in my laptop, can run most apps though iTunes and Rosetta need SSE3 support so I’m out of luck their. I must say, it sure is speedy and looks oh so nice on my laptop, even in VMware. Unfortunately I have no support for internet of any sort. It’s still nice to get a taste of OS X before I actually have the money to buy a Mac. I’m itching to buy a Mac Mini and a new LCD. Back to cleaning up my old room and finishing moving into my new one.
