Today I made quite a bit of progress on this blog. After spending the past couple days reading up on XHTML and CSS I have a much better understanding of how it all works and fixed the problems I was having earlier in the week. Most of it had to do with where I was adding comments in my html file. These comments are related to the theme plugin for blosxom. At any rate, those problems are behind me now. Tomorrow I need to finish the Catagories and Archives section. They will actually be in a sidebar to the left of the main blogging area. For some reason my site can’t be seen from the web. My internet went out for a short while tonight, but came back within ten minutes. That may or may not have something to do with it. After I get the links section up and working/looking the way I want it to, I want to make it easier to make it easier to post to the blog. Currently with blosxom you just create a regular text file and place that file in a folder on your webserver. No messing around with a database which is fine by me. I’ve seen a few plugins and have tested a couple of them. There is also a plugin where you can email your blog post in to blosxom, so I may or may not incorporate that into the blog. Only time will tell.

A large portion of my initial blogging will be devoted to the development of the site for my own personal amusement. I figure once I have the site finalized I will have some content worth checking up on, but that can wait until later. Goodnight.
